Special needs

We know that a trip to the theater requires a little extra for some. Betty Nansen is for everyone, which is why we have an increased focus on disability facilities. Read here, and if you have any further questions, please contact post@bettynansen.dk.

For people with disabilities

At our main stage at the Betty Nansen Theatre

There are two staircases at the Betty Nansen Theatre’s main stage on Frederiksberg Allé, but there is a wheelchair lift at the door to the foyer at the far right of the façade.

There is one wheelchair space in the auditorium. The space is in category A and can only be purchased by contacting the Betty Nansen Theatre directly at billet@bettynansen.dk. Tickets must be purchased at least seven days before you go to the theatre.

The Betty Nansen Theatre has a disabled toilet to the right of the bar.

Please note that there is a disabled parking space on the corner of Frydendalsvej and Frederiksberg Allé, approx. 25 metres from the theatre’s main entrance. This cannot be reserved as it belongs to Frederiksberg Municipality.

God Adgang has prepared a detailed presentation of our accessibility at the Betty Nansen Theatre, which makes it easier for our audience to plan a trip to the theatre tailored to their own needs.

At our annex stage Edison

At our annex stage Edison, we have established disabled access to the theatre hall in the form of a lift. If you ask our staff at the bar when you arrive at the theatre, they will show you the way to the lift.

There is one wheelchair space in the auditorium. The seat is in category A and can only be purchased by contacting the Betty Nansen Theatre directly at billet@bettynansen.dk. Tickets must be purchased at least seven days before your visit to the theatre.

Autism

In collaboration with the Autism Association, Autism GoTo has created a social presentation and an information page about the Betty Nansen Theatre and Edison, which makes it easier for audiences with autism to plan a visit.

FOR PEOPLE WITH HEARING IMPAIRMENT

If you have impaired hearing and need extra equipment to improve your listening experience in the auditorium, you can reserve wireless FM equipment with headphones free of charge for all Betty Nansen Theatre performances and events in the auditorium.

We have eight sets of FM equipment that wirelessly transmit sound from our existing speaker system to individual receivers, allowing audience members with hearing loss to enjoy the theatre performance or event as much as other guests. The individual receivers are connected to a set of headphones, which can be borrowed from us, or you can bring your own headphones for better sound quality. However, your own headphones must have a mini jack plug.

The FM equipment replaces the previous telecoil system.

How
Borrowing the FM equipment, including headphones, is free of charge, but must be reserved in advance. This can be done by contacting us at billet@bettynansen.dk or by telephone: 33210755.

The FM equipment is handed out at the theatre box office. After the performance, the FM equipment is returned to the staff at the bar.
