About the Performance
It’s all over. And you’ve been invited to humanity’s last party. Now is the time to reach out for what has whispered to you in your dreams.
Betty Nansen Teatret and Danish Dance Theatre present a new dance performance directed by one of the most exciting artists on the international scene: Chilean Marco Layera.
In an expressive physical language and an abundance of masks and costumes, we experience a world inhabited by people who look exactly like us – but who also step beyond the human and become the other.
Layera’s work has been presented on more than a hundred international stages. He uncovers taboos and can be seen as provocative when he imposes a political responsibility on theatre and sees it as his duty to use the stage and his artistic voice as an instrument of critique and reflection.
The performance is created as part of an overall process called BETTY UDVIKLER in collaboration with Bikubefonden.
